Palestine Solidarity Campaign

Melbourne, Australia

Palestine Solidarity Campaign (Melbourne) was formed in November 2008 and is a grassroots, activist based group. PSC (Melbourne) does not adhere to any particular ideology and is not affiliated with any political party or religious grouping and includes people from a diversity of cultural and political backgrounds, as well as religious affiliations. As a result, PSC (Melbourne) reflects a diversity of opinions and methods, as exists in other Palestine solidarity groups.

Palestine Solidarity Campaign (Melbourne) seeks to unite all people opposed to Israel’s occupation and oppression of the Palestinian people and supports the Palestinian Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign against Israel.

As a result, PSC (Melbourne) campaigns for:

1. An end to Israeli occupation and colonisation of all Palestinian (East Jerusalem, West Bank and Gaza) and Arab lands, including the dismantling of the illegal Israeli settlements, the apartheid wall/fence and the withdrawal of Israeli troops from territories occupied by Israel in 1967.

2. Recognition of the fundamental rights of the Palestinians with Israeli citizenship living inside of Israel to full equality.

3. Respects, supports and promotes the right of return for Palestinian refugees to return to their homes and properties as stipulated in UN resolution 194.

4. Calls for an end to the Israeli siege and blockade of the Gaza Strip. PSC (Melbourne) is open too and seeks to collaborate with all groups and individuals who are committed to our goal of ending the Israeli occupation of Palestine and who support justice and self-determination for the Palestinian people.
